02-27-2005 Stats Are Up
Turnout was very good Saturday night. Thanks to all who stopped by and played in some excellent matches. For the most part, everyone seemed to be on the same playing level. We even saw some new faces, Hammer and Princess Unicorn.
Here are some highlights:
5.56mm - As expected, he took the award for most Kar98(Sniper) kills.
Zeke - master of killing on the new Tigertown map
IiLneSs - who now sports the [housewares] tag, was true to his word about remaining the grenade kill king
Toe-Tag - gets an award for not winning an award
Hammer - gets the coveted Loss Streak award (although he tied Toe-Tag in this respect)
Ash - won just about every other award, including being the only victim of Princess Unicorn
Mac - 14 bashes, in one night. Hmmmm.
>X< - gonna earn the nickname part-time employee
Silence was silently absent this week, meaning that everyone else had a chance to get some kills in. Thanks again to all who stopped by. See ya again next week!

Upgrade Successful
The v1.5 patch was applied this evening and it looks like it is working fine. The new Tigertown map was added to the end of the map rotation, so it will appear right after Rocket.
All the maps have been checked to make sure that Americans are replaced by the British. A slight modification was necessary to the rifles.pk3 file. This now puts us at the 5th revision of the rifles file, so you’ll download the new rifles5.pk3 when you first sign on. All of the other mods appear to still be functioning.
Here’s some screenshots of the new Tigertown map:
Enjoy, and see everyone on Saturday!

Server Upgrade: Today
The server is being upgraded to the v1.5 patch today, so if you’ve had that v1.5 patch installer sitting around on your desktop, now’s the time to install it. The exact time of the upgrade is not known, just that it will happen sometime today.
For those that have not yet downloaded the patch, here are some links to where you can find it:
Mac Aspyr’s Web Site (20MB download)
PC Call of Duty Web Site (36MB download)
Everyone is encouraged to try it out today to see if the upgrade went well. Hopefully the new mods we implemented will continue functioning. The new Tigertown map will be added into the rotation as well.

ATTENTION: Game Server Upgrade Pending
Quick announcement. Just so everyone knows, we are planning on upgrading the Call of Duty server to version 1.5 on Thursday, February 24, 2005. We’ll make another post once the server has been successfully upgraded.
Although there really isn’t a problem with the 1.4 version, we’re going to ignore the old cliche ”If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”, and happily patch away. The Mac version of 1.5 has been released and seems stable at this time. As far as benefits go, we’ll add a new map and some new admin features. Hopefully our newly implemented mods will continue working after the upgrade.
We’ll add an ingame scroller message so that anyone who plays [Housewares] on a regular basis won’t be caught off-guard.
Look for download links here shortly.

Stats for Feb 20, 2005 Are Up!
Whew. I’ve been scrambling to get this site live in time for this week’s stats. Looks like I barely made it. The stats will no longer be posted on that “other” site. That being said, the stats are posted from Saturday Night! Use the links off to the left.
Thanks for checking in Saturday night - Silence, Toe-Tag, zeke, 5.56mm, and iLLneSS (OK, and >X< too !)
The evening didn’t start off too well, but it finished with some great evenly balanced matches at around 3:15am, or so. I stopped playing for a little bit to spectate some people that were just a little “too good”. I think that I’m just gonna start kicking people when I even just slightly suspect they may be cheating. I’ve seen people get lucky, but when someone is consistently getting over half of the teams kills themselves, they’re either cheating or really, really good. In either case, they don’t need to be playing here. If they are actually just that good, they should go play on a clan server somewhere with folks of their own skill level (or same aimbots). “When in doubt, kick’em out!”
Sorry, just a little venting. Anyways, like I said, the stats are up. Here’s some noteables:
zeke didn’t move the MG42s as much I expected. He did get the most Nagant(Sniper) kills though.
Silence, oddly enough, had the most Nagant(Sniper) deaths.
5.56mm grabbed top honors for MG42 kills. A slight change for the guy who’s know for hiding in the bushes.
iLLneSS had the most Grenade kills.
Ash won just about every other award there was to win. He bashed 59 times. Not bad!
Toe-Tag won the only other award left, for highest loss streak, coming in at a phenominal 32.
(If there was an award for shortest time played, >X< would have taken that one)
Thanks for playing guys. See ya next week.
