Saturday Night Free For All

Attention all Housewares employees....

This upcoming Saturday we are going to be hosting a special event, sort of like a Company Party. The server will be going offline shortly before 8PM MST on Saturday May 21st to prepare for this event. So exactly what are we doing? Here’s the scoop:

When: 8:00 - 10:00PM MST
The server will be only available to Housewares employees and will require a password to enter during this time period. The password required is different from the normal password.

What:
To mix things up a bit and take a break from the normal Saturday night, during this two hour period we are turning off our “Rifles Only” mod.

The server will go into “Deathmatch” mode with all weapons enabled, so it will be every man for himself. Yes, even the machine guns and (gasp) pistols will be at your disposal. All the special mods will be turned off, such as the moveable MG42s, spawn protection, grenade cook timers, etc. Basically, just reverting to a plain-jane Call of Duty server with all weapons on.

Why:
Why not?

Stats accrued during this special event will not count towards the overall stats, so everyone just go out and have fun! As I mentioned, the password is different, so please be sure to check your e-mail for the correct one. After 10PM, the server will resume its normal “Rifles Only” configuration. Makes one wonder how many bashes Ash will get in, and what sort of mayhem will SickNess cause, with him having access to 3 grenades instead of 1…..

The 05-14-2005 Stats Are Up

Hey lookie here, an update!

First and foremost, big congrats go out to Ash, as he has now surpassed 1000 total bashes for the year. So who’s the lucky 1000th customer served (bashed)? Well, that honor would have to go to…

Yes, AgtCooper is officially the 1000th customer bashed by Ash. For this achievement, AgtCooper shall receive a [Housewares] Spatula.

To verify the true winner, we analyzed the server logs and extraced all of Ash’s bash kills. As of the beginning of tonight’s gaming, Ash needed 84 bash kills to reach the 1000 mark for the year. Here is a small excerpt from the logs:

Looks like binkdog barely missed out on the Spatula award, coming in at bash number 83 and 85.

The evening went fairly well, with the exception of a Janitor, who came in and messed things up for a while. The night ended relatively early, but fun nonetheless.

There is still no update from 5.56mm. Hopefully he will stop by to say “Hi” soon. The team eagerly awaits your return, 5!

As far as the rest of the night’s stats are concerned, SickNess retains his “Grenade King” status, taking down 60 opponents tonight. He says “It is an Art”.

Last Weekend (Missed Stats)

Yup, go figure. Missed another update last weekend.

The only reason I mention last weekend is because of the epic Battle For the Attic in Pavlov that was fought by Hammer, PICKLE!, and Toe-Tag. They effectivley removed Ash and Mac from said attic, and held it for nearly the entire map. It was a great game and figured it deserved a mention.

The entire evening was a blast, but the attic ROCKED!

Oh yeah, Toe-Tag also changed his affiliation from [Dry Goods] to [Funiture] (not a typo!).

That’s all.

The 04-30-2005 Stats Are Up

Hey look, there’s a site update this week. I’ve been slacking and haven’t done one the last two weeks. Sorry. Anyways, played some stellar games this evening. The games were usually pretty close in score. >X< even joined us this evening. We all needed a good bashing, so that was cool.

Here’s what we got this evening:

Mac - somehow managed to come in first place again. Landed 36 bashes, too.

Ash - came in second place. Added another 84 bashes to his credit, which brings him up to 858 bashes for the year.

zeke - came in sixth place. Prefers to use MG42, and knows how to move it, quickly.

>X< - showed up, bashed Mac twice and left.

Sickness - the grenade king retains his title yet again

Pickle! - comes in at 12th place.

Hammer - 14th place

Toe-Tag - takes 16th and 17th place, since he changed is affiliation to [Dry Goods]

The 04-09-2005 Stats Are Up

Whoops. Missed updating the site last weekend. Better late than never, I suppose.

Game play last weekend was awesome, some of the best yet. We had a really good crowd and some extremely fun match-ups.

Here’s some stats highlights:

Mac - Mac comes in at number one for skill. Don’t know how that happened, but it happened.

Ash - Ash comes in at a close second and once again leads with Bash kills.

SickNess - Comes it at 7th place and gets his usual award for Grenade kills.

Hammer - Must not have been the night for “Hammer Time”, getting the award for highest Loss Streak (25).

zeke - A wild man on the MG42.

We were also visited by Sgt. Spork and binkdog. Glad to have you guys at Housewares!
